4th OF JULY PICNIC

The picnic will be on Saturday July 3rd. It will be from 12 Noon till 4:00PM. The Moose Legion will serve hamburgers, hot dogs, potato salad and baked beans. It is free for Legionnaires and children and two bucks for everyone else. Any side dishes will be appreciated. Please come out and join the fellowship with your friends. There will be Karaoke by Stephanie.

Come out and join us for the 10th Annual Jonathan Conder Bar-B-Que to held at Hot Springs Lodge 1252 on July 31st. There will be cooking teams from Moose Lodges across the state competing for Grand Champion.

Support our Cooking teams to bring home the Trophies. Get a pit pass for $5.00 and get drink specials and sample what all the teams are serving. We fire up the grills around 9:30AM, judging starts early afternoon. We have two committed teams from our Lodge. Everyone is welcome.

Governor's Message

As your new Governor I am excited about what is going on in our Lodge.

But before I get to that let me think the WOTM and College of Regents for a beautiful ceremony at our late Violet Doll's funeral service and the abundance of wonderful food for the family at the reception following. I was quite proud of the Women of the Moose. Thanks Ladies!

Also, let me thank Terry Tucker, Jason Watkins and crew for arranging the APA 8 & 9 Ball tournament here last month. There was a tremendous turnout and very exciting to see the lodge full & busy. Nancy Morris, Social Quarters Manager and everyone involved worked very hard to make this a successful event.

Up coming, we have the annual 4th of July Picnic on the 3rd. This Moose Legion event is my favorite. Good Food, Good Friends, Great Fellowship. It is free for Legionnaires and children and two bucks for everyone else. There will be drawings for prizes, 12pm to 4pm. The Moose Legion will provide hamburgers, hot dogs, potato salad and beans. Any side dishes will be appreciated.

The July 31st we will host to the Arkansas Moose Association 10th Annual Jonathan Conder II Bar-B-Que Cook-off. This is a must event!. We will have at least two teams representing us plus teams from across the state competing for overall Grand Championship this year. Our teams have competed in numerous cooking events around the state and have many trophies to show for it. Thank you Swine, Wine and Patsy Cline Cooking Team sponsored by the WOTM and the newly re-named LOOM team Full Moon Q & Dew. Great Job Guys and good luck this year.

Next, August 26th - 29th the AMA Mid Year Conference will be held at the Austin Hotel in Hot Springs. On Sunday, the 29th from 1PM -4PM the Regional Manager and AMA Ritual Team will hold the Pilgrim Presentation Ceremony and Reception for Arvis Vaughn at Lodge 1252. This is quite an impressive ceremony to see and to honor Pilgrim Arvis for his hard work and dedication not only at our lodge but at the state level.

I appreciate your vote of confidence in election me as your Governor, now I would like to ask your support in attending the Lodge Meetings and functions.

Resumes are to be given to David Fryar, Governor in a sealed envelope before the Thursday, July 15th, 2010 Board of Officers Meeting. The L.O.O.M. Board of Officers will review the applications and interview all candidates before a placement is made.
